Neil Beaton

Neil began his career training as an investment analyst at J Henry Schroder Wagg & Co. Ltd., before joining SG Warburg, later to become Mercury Asset Management (MAM), as an investment manager specialising in US equities. Neil was CIO of the Global Equity Team when MAM was acquired by Merrill Lynch in 1998 and spent a further three years at Merrill Lynch until 2001.

From 2002, Neil was Partner in charge of Deloitte’s Investment Advisory business until early 2011 when he led a management buyout of this business to form what subsequently became the ‘Alvarium Investments’ investment advisory platform, later acquired by AlTi Tiedemann Global. 

Neil is a graduate of Manchester University, where he received a joint honours degree in Economics and Agricultural Economics.
